Evelyn Anderson

Evelyn Anderson is a classically trained vocalist and recent graduate of Southern Methodist University, receiving a Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance. She received her Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Abilene Christian University, and as former president of the ACU A Cappella Choirs, she has loved performing in many different choral ensembles and settings for over a decade.

Throughout her career, she has enjoyed singing in numerous roles in musicals and operas. Some of her favorite roles have been Marian the Librarian in The Music Man, Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, and Nettie Fowler in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel. She performs frequently with Orpheus Chamber Singers, a premiere vocal ensemble in DFW, and she is also the Alto Section Leader at First United Methodist Church of Richardson. Evelyn currently enjoys teaching classical and operatic music, choral and solo techniques, as well as showtunes and popular music.
