About Preston Harmony

Preston Harmony School of Music builds on a tradition of music education that began in 1998 as Gray School of Music. Today, we continue that legacy by providing exceptional private music lessons for children, teens, and adults in a welcoming environment where outstanding teaching, purpose-built facilities, and meaningful musical experiences come together.
Our Story
Honoring a Legacy, Building the Future
Preston Harmony School of Music traces its roots to Gray School of Music, a respected Preston Hollow institution founded by Mrs. Vicki Gray in 1998. For more than 27 years, the school has earned the trust of North Dallas families through its commitment to exceptional music education and outstanding teaching.

When Mrs. Gray retired, she entrusted the school to her longtime assistant, Branda Guédet, who had been a member of the faculty since 2009 and worked alongside her for many years helping guide the school's daily operations. Under Branda's leadership, the school entered a new chapter as Preston Harmony School of Music, while preserving the same educational philosophy, experienced faculty, and commitment to every student.

Today, Preston Harmony continues this tradition by providing exceptional private music lessons for children, teens, and adults throughout Preston Hollow and the surrounding North Dallas communities.
Our Mission

At Preston Harmony, we believe that music education should inspire a lifelong appreciation for music while helping every student reach their fullest potential. We are committed to providing thoughtful instruction that nurtures technical skill, creativity, confidence, and a genuine enjoyment of learning.
Our mission extends beyond weekly lessons. We strive to create a welcoming community where students are encouraged to grow at their own pace, celebrate their achievements, and develop a lasting connection to music that enriches their lives for years to come.
Our Director
Branda Guédet

Branda joined the school in 2009 as a piano and violin instructor, when it was known as Gray School of Music. Over the years, she became a trusted member of the faculty and worked closely with founder Mrs. Vicki Gray as her assistant, helping oversee the school's daily operations, support its faculty, and contribute to its continued growth.
When Mrs. Gray retired, Branda became owner and director of the school, bringing more than fifteen years of experience and continuity to the role. Today, she leads Preston Harmony School of Music with the same commitment to excellence, high standards of teaching, and welcoming atmosphere that have defined the school since 1998.

Branda holds bachelor's and master's degrees in music from the University of North Texas. As both an educator and director, she remains actively involved in the school, teaching students, mentoring faculty, and working closely with families to ensure every student receives an exceptional musical education.
Our Commitment to Excellence
Every aspect of Preston Harmony reflects our commitment to exceptional music education. From the faculty we hire and the instruments we provide to the facilities we have built and the relationships we cultivate with our students and families, each decision is guided by a single goal: creating an inspiring place where every student can thrive.
Expert Music Educators
Exceptional instruction begins with exceptional teachers. Every instructor holds at least a bachelor's degree in music, and many have earned master's or doctoral degrees. Beyond their credentials, our faculty are dedicated educators who are passionate about helping every student reach their full potential.
Personalized Instruction
No two students learn in exactly the same way. Our lessons are thoughtfully tailored to the student's age, experience, learning style, and musical goals, creating a rewarding experience that encourages steady progress and lasting confidence.
