Biography

Since her debut solo recital at the age of nine, pianist Abbey Brodnick has performed across the United States and abroad. In 2025, she appeared in InterHarmony International Music Festival's Young Artist Showcase in the Chiesa di Santo Spirito in Acqui Terme, Italy. Later that year, she returned to Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, where she had previously played in 2023 as a winner of the 2022 Stetson in New York Chamber Music and Solo Competition. 


While at Stetson, Abbey received the school’s Maris Award in recognition of her outstanding junior recital. She has also earned top prizes in competitions throughout Texas, including the TMTA Student Affiliate Contest, UT Arlington Fall Piano Festival, and Dallas Solo Contest. 


Abbey began lessons at the age of seven, becoming the first musician in her family. She earned her Bachelor of Music at Stetson University, under the guidance of Sean Kennard. 


Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Music at Southern Methodist University as a student of Alessandro Mazzamuto. Additionally, Abbey has had the privilege of participating in lessons and masterclasses with esteemed artists such as Antonio Di Cristofano, Enrico Elisi, Petronel Malan, and Marina Lomazov.
