Eight lessons, eleven weeks, and a schedule built around your summer
Keep up the momentum during the summer with regular music lessons. Summer is the perfect time for students to strengthen their skills, work ahead, and prepare for the upcoming school year.
Traveling? No problem. Our summer schedule is designed with added flexibility to accommodate vacations, camps, and other summer activities. Students receive eight lessons across an eleven week term, which leaves three weeks of built in room for everything June through August brings.
How the Summer Term Works
The summer term consists of 11 lesson weeks and every student receives 8 lessons within this 11-week window. This allows a wiggle room to accommodate summer travels and activities. You and your teacher can skip up to 3 weeks and still complete the full term.
Summer tuition is billed across two installments in June and July.
Traveling More Than Three Weeks?
Summer schedules vary widely, so we have built several ways to complete a term around a longer absence:
Double Up While You Are Here
Attend twice a week during the weeks you are in town and finish the term faster. Eight lessons completed in four weeks is entirely possible, and some students prefer the intensity.
Trade Length for Frequency
Lessons can be extended rather than repeated. Two 45 minute lessons cover the same ground as three 30 minute lessons, so fewer visits can still deliver a full term of instruction.
Try a Second Instrument
Summer is the natural time to explore. A piano student might take five piano lessons and three guitar lessons to complete the eight, with no additional enrollment required. Tell us what you are curious about and we will arrange it.
Choose a Flexible Package Instead
If none of the above fits, a single flexible package of four lessons can be scheduled entirely around your availability. Packages cost more per lesson than the summer term and do not reserve a standing time, but they ask nothing of a calendar that will not hold still.
Want More Than Eight Lessons?
Students preparing for auditions, working toward an examination, or simply wanting to move faster may add lessons beyond the eight. Every lesson from the ninth onward is billed at a 5% discount.
Summer is often when motivated students make their biggest leaps, with no school assignments competing for practice time.
New Students Are Welcome in Summer
Summer is one of the best times to begin. Schedules are relaxed, practice time is easier to find, and a student who starts in June arrives at the school year already comfortable with the instrument rather than starting from scratch alongside everything else.
We teach piano, voice, guitar, violin, viola, cello, and ukulele, for children and adults, beginners included. Every new student starts with a complimentary trial lesson.
