About Preston Harmony
Honoring a Legacy, Building the Future

Our Story
Preston Harmony School of Music carries on a long tradition of musical excellence. While our name is new, our roots trace back more than 27 years to Gray School of Music, a respected Preston Hollow institution founded by Mrs. Vicki Gray and trusted by Dallas families for generations. When Mrs. Gray stepped back, she entrusted the school to her longtime assistant, Branda Guédet, who now serves as Director, carrying forward the same faculty, philosophy, and dedication to every student.
Today, Preston Harmony proudly serves children, teens, and adults in Preston Hollow and the surrounding North Dallas communities.
Our Mission

Our mission at Preston Harmony School of Music is to give students of every age an exceptional musical education in a supportive, inspiring environment. Through personalized lessons, a dedicated faculty, and real performance opportunities, we help each student build skill and confidence while discovering the lasting joy that music brings.
Above all, we keep this a welcoming, family-friendly community, one built on strong teaching, engaging musical experiences, and the attentive, personal service that Dallas families have trusted for decades.

Our Director
Branda Guédet
Branda Guédet joined the school in 2009 as a piano and violin instructor, back when it was Gray School of Music. Over the years she became a trusted member of the faculty and worked closely with founder Mrs. Vicki Gray as her assistant, helping oversee daily operations and the school's growth.
When Mrs. Gray retired, Branda stepped into the role of owner and director, bringing more than fifteen years of experience at the school with her. She leads Preston Harmony today with the same care and high standards that have defined it from the start.
Why Choose Preston Harmony
Families across North Dallas choose Preston Harmony School of Music for music education that is both exceptional and genuinely personal. Our school has helped students of all ages build skill, confidence, and a lasting love of music.
At the heart of it is a highly qualified faculty. Every instructor holds at least a bachelor's degree in music, most hold or are pursuing a master's, and several hold doctorates. As professional musicians and dedicated teachers, they bring real artistry to every lesson, and each student is matched with the instructor best suited to their age, level, personality, and goals. That commitment to quality carries through everything: piano students learn exclusively on Steinway and Boston grand pianos, and recitals, festivals, and other activities give students meaningful chances to grow and perform with confidence.
As a trusted North Dallas institution serving more than 300 students, we also make enrolling easy: a complimentary trial lesson, transparent tuition, and no long-term contracts. Our secure, entry-code facility has administrative staff on site and a convenient Preston Forest Village location near many of Dallas's leading schools. Whether you are enrolling a young beginner, an advancing student, or an adult starting for the first time, we are committed to an exceptional experience from the very first lesson.
Our Dallas Music Studio & Facilities
Our Preston Hollow studio was built specifically for music education. Spanning over 4,000 square feet, the space was thoughtfully designed to make learning comfortable, focused, and inspiring.
Every detail - from our carefully maintained instruments to our private lesson studios and dedicated recital hall - reflects our commitment to giving students a professional yet welcoming environment.
Whether your child is here for a weekly lesson or you are an adult pursuing music for the joy of it, our facility is designed to help every student feel at home and do their best work.

Lesson Studios
We have 10 piano studios, each equipped with a Steinway or Boston grand piano and carefully maintained to give students the best possible instrument to learn on.
5 additional studios are dedicated to our other instruments, outfitted with digital or upright pianos for voice and violin lessons, along with foot stools and music stands for guitar.
Every room offers a quiet, private setting where students can work one on one with their instructor, away from the distractions of a busy household.
Recital Hall
Throughout the year, our students take the stage for recitals in our on-site recital hall. Alongside our end-of-semester performances, we host themed recitals that make sharing music especially fun, from Halloween recitals to Duet Recitals and Showtune nights.
The hall seats up to 70 guests and features a Steinway grand piano, stage, and professional lighting, creating a true concert experience for performers and families alike. These frequent opportunities give students of every age and level a chance to share their progress, build confidence, and celebrate their hard work in a warm, supportive setting.
Waiting Areas
Comfortable seating areas near the lesson studios give parents and families a welcoming place to relax while children are in their lessons. Many parents use the time to catch up on work, and guest wi-fi is available throughout, making it easy to answer emails or take a call while you wait.
For younger students, a small library and reading nook helps keep them happily occupied before their lesson time.
Behind the scenes, our teachers also have access to a dedicated music library with a large collection of music books, so they can draw on a deep well of repertoire and teaching materials for every student.
A Safe, Welcoming Space
Our studio is secured with entry-code access, and administrative staff are on site to answer questions and help with scheduling, so students and parents feel at ease during every visit.
Every lesson studio has a see-through window panel, giving parents clear visibility into lessons and complete peace of mind while their children learn.
On-site parking makes drop-off and pickup simple, even on busy lesson evenings.
