Ziyi Li is a Chinese pianist currently pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at the University of North Texas, where he studies with Professor Adam Wodnicki. He holds a Master of Music degree from the Saint Petersburg Conservatory in Russia and a Bachelor of Music degree from Xiamen University in China. He has performed both as a soloist and collaborative pianist in China, Russia, Switzerland, and the United States. In 2023, he participated in the Verbier Music Festival in Switzerland, engaging in intensive piano study and performance. While studying at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory, he gained extensive experience in opera and chamber music, including performances of La Traviata and West Side Story, as well as numerous collaborations with instrumentalists and vocalists. As a dedicated educator, Mr. Li has worked with students of all levels. He values a thoughtful approach to teaching, believing that each student learns differently and he adjusts his methods to suit each student’s goals. His teaching philosophy emphasizes both musical expression and technical precision, with the goal of making each lesson engaging, meaningful, and inspiring.
