Evelyn Anderson is a classically trained vocalist and graduate student at Southern Methodist University. She received her Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Abilene Christian University, and as former president of the ACU A Cappella Choirs, she has loved performing in many different choral ensembles. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed singing in numerous roles in musicals and operas, and some of her favorite roles have been Marian the Librarian in The Music Man, Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, and Nettie Fowler in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel. She currently performs with Meadows Chamber Singers, Meadows Opera Theater, and Orpheus Chamber Singers. Evelyn currently enjoys teaching classical and operatic music, as well as showtunes and popular music.
