School Policies
School Terms
Each school year is divided into Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Students receive 42 regular lessons per school year.
Enrollment
All students taking lessons must be enrolled and pay an enrollment fee. Enrollment renews annually and a registration fee is charged on the anniversary of enrollment. Registration fees are non refundable and non transferrable. Enrollment is continuous unless a withdrawal notice is given. Returning students must re-enroll.

Tuition
The total fee for the year is divided into 11.5 monthly installments. The number of sessions per month could vary yet the billed rate will be the same as the amount reflects the installment rate and not the exact number of lessons in that month.​

Payments
Monthly tuition is automatically processed on the 1st using the credit / debit card placed on file. If an automated charge fails, the client will replace the payment card or authorize a re-attempt on the same card within two business days. A 5% fee applies per declined transaction. If an account is not settled by the 10th, a late fee of $30 applies. If no payment is made after the 15th, no further lessons will be scheduled. All tuition and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Children Supervision
Children must not be left at the school unattended. It is the parent / guardian's responsibility to supervise the use of school amenities such as the library, furnitures, bathroom, and toys. Children attending lessons should be picked up on time and they are not allowed to leave the school unaccompanied. Preston Harmony School of Music and staff are not responsible for any young students and visitors.

Late Arrivals
If a student is late to a lesson, the teacher is only required to conduct lessons for the time remaining in the appointment. No refund or make-up will be given for missed hours due to late arrivals. In the event that a student is not at the school at the scheduled lesson time, the teacher will wait for up to 15 minutes after which the lesson is considered forfeited.

Make-Up Lesson
Each student is allowed one make-up lesson per semester for a cancellation made at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations within 24 hours and lessons that are missed without notice will not be made up or rescheduled. Make-up lessons must be completed in the same semester. A missed make-up lesson will not be rescheduled.

Withdrawal
30-day notice is required for discontinuation of lessons. A signed withdrawal form must be received by admin to be official. Verbal, email or text messages are not accepted as withdrawal notice. Students are responsible for the next four lessons from the date the signed withdrawal notice is received. They may continue to attend the remaining lessons and there will be no refunds if they choose not to. Withdrawal removes the students completely from the roster and schedule. Students must re-enroll to resume lessons.

Discounts
All eligible discounts are subject to terms and conditions as outlined in the Student Handbook. Each billing account is limited to 2 discounts.

Trial Lessons
Only new students qualify for free trial lessons. Each new student is allowed one free trial lesson. The schedule will be released after 3 days if no enrollment is confirmed.

Photo / Video Release
Students give release to photos and videos to be featured on our website, social media, and marketing materials. Students have the option to opt out of photo and video publication by contacting admin.
